How was this summer for all you scenesters? Was it a summer that perhaps when you are 60 you will tell the grandkids "it twas' the summer of 08, and that's when I got my first six string, oh yes it's also when I got the Iphone 3G and saw that horrible Lost Boys sequel."
Did you fall in love for the first time? Travel somewhere new? Meet some great friends?
My highlights would be meeting many great people from different countries, being influenced on marching towards life and not sitting back and observing so much, and also being entertained with shows and films.
The amazing shows I have seen this summer were:
Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers with Steve Winwood
Radiohead with Grizzly Bear
Bob Dylan
Nine Inch Nails
pretty impressive if you ask me, all brilliant men in that group
As far as films at the theater I saw mostly the blockbusters:
Dark Knight
Mummy chinese style
Iron Man
Tropic Thunder
Indiana Jones
and the not so blockbusters:
The Strangers
Mirrors (was impressed with this one)
Hope everyone has had a great and memorable few months :0)

My summer was awful/great
My girlfriend of a year and a half broke up with me because she "Didn't want a boyfriend" then 2 weeks after the break up she had a new boyfriend. I basicly worked the entire summer. I missed out on shows that I wanted to go to because my ex and her new boyfriend were going and if I went I knew I'd be fighting, and I stopped doing that about 2 years ago. I met another girl who I began to like, until she ???ed a dude and started dating him.
It did have its upside though:
I got promoted to assistant manager at my work. I made some great new friends and got to spend time with old ones I hadn't seen in a while. I saw some great movies and picked up some great records.
Sorry for complaining...but you asked :)

I can happily say that yes, this will be a summer to remember and tell the grandkiddos about!! Let's recap...
First and foremost, I entered into my first relationship EVER. And it's a super serious one. Summer Sylsberry (sweetcatch) rocks my world in ways I can't describe. She is amazing and I wish for everyone that they would have a match like this waiting out there for them. She is an answer to prayer and the fruition of being patient and trusting in God that He had the right girl for me. We talked for 2 months online before becoming official 3 weeks ago and it's been a dream. Sorry to be a spazzy boyfriend, but I LOVE HER TO INFINITE DEGREES!
I went to these concerts...
Paramore
Earth, Wind, & Fire
Northern Room with the Bodeans
Saw a load of great movies, new and old alike, including...
THE DARK KNIGHT (4 times that first weekend)
Before the Devil Knows You're Dead
Fargo
Raising Arizona
The Incredible Hulk (twice)
Casablance
Batman (the original)
Wanted
Wall-E (twice)
Bella
The Life Aquatic (LOVED this)
Shotgun Stories
Random highlights...
- Got my first speeding ticket
- Got promoted to Worship & Media Director at church - lots of changes
- Been reading a bunch of relationship books
And overall, just living and loving life the way I want to! Sorry for such a long response...

True that!
I'm getting over it more and more
I just have a short fuse and I know if the kid does anything to try and rub it in my face, or flex any muscle I'll kick his ass
I really don't want to do that, my new years resolution was to have more patience and not go off as easily and I've been pretty good about it thus far

This summer wasn't too shabby. I spent most of the summer with my boyfriend of a year and a half. I spent a lot of time with good friends too. I went to California for the first time and that was a lot of fun! Went to the beach a couple times. I saw Alkaline Trio, Anthony Green, Rancid, and Billy Joel (Odd combination, I know.) I RELAXED because of no school. It was also my first summer working at a movie store which was pretty sweet because no school, no homework allows sooo much more time for movie watching!
I saw too many movies to list, but here's a few:
The Dark Knight (Favorite)
Step Brothers (soooo hilarious!)
Charlie Barlett
Control
Baby Mama
Penelope
Casablanca
Pulp Fiction (I can't believe I haven't seen this movie sooner)
Boondock Saints
Jackie Brown
What Happens in Vegas
Fido
Otis
P.S. I Love You
21
Vantage Point
Into The Wild
Gone Baby Gone
Forgetting Sara Marshall
The Strangers

That rug really tied the room together.
