Don't know if this was posted before or not. It has Ellen Page in it and I basically checked it out cos I love her acting. It's really different. They used the Mondrian multi-frame technique from the start till the end.
At some points I was kinda annoyed, not because of the multi-frames thing. But some frames are just a tad too small. But overall, I guess the movie left me with an impression.
What do you all think?

totally agree with you on that movie. I checked it out solely on Ellen Page's performance and she never disappoints me. But yeah the little frames sorta made me mad cause I couldn't see them that well. But that was the first movie I've ever seen that was totally done in that frame. Overall the movie was decent, just a little too out there for me, but I'd rather watch Juno, Hard Candy, or Smart People over it.

Yeah of course the rest are much better. This is actually a first feature film that used the particular technique all through the movie. Took about two weeks plus to shoot if I'm not mistaken, but nine months to edit. They even had fans helping out. I guess this movie is more technically awesome than storyline-wise. But the fragments get too clouded at times and it made me feel like an adolescent all over again. I guess the point came through very well, like watching Prozac Nation.

lol! true I mean I love the artistic side of the movie. And that's way awesome that fans helped out, cause that doesn't happen to much. But what is Prozac Nation, lol I've never heard of that. You dig indie movies alot huh? (not that that is bad just wondering.)

Yeah.. It's the first time a director sent out torrents on the net asking for the fans to edit the shots following their preference. Prozac Nation is a movie about this top girl in Harvard (if I'm not mistaken) who is struggling to go through the parents' divorce. It's really heartbreaking watching it. And Christina Ricci was gold in it.
Haha it is actually kinda bad mainly liking indie movies. Why? Cos I get bored with other genres too quickly at times haha

Yeah not everyone can respond well to change.. That's what I saw when I watched Cloverfield and was totally blown away but most of the people were just being pissed at it.. I guess everyone has their own taste
