I have faith in tim burton that this is going to be a brilliant film!
Has anyone heard any news?
All i've heard so far is that Johnny depp is expected to be in it [what a surprise!], Mia Wasikowska from HBO's In Treatment may be playing Alice.
Tim burton was casting for extras today and yesterday, in plymouth, UK, and it was expected of the extras to be free for two weeks of filming!
And also that the film will start off in live action until alice jumps down the rabbit hole!
Oooh and it is expected to be released in 2010.

Wait, what!? Plymouth!? Plymouth, Devon, UK!? I feel a bit out of the loop, but Plymouth is my home town, where nothing exciting ever happens! As soon as I move away it seems interesting things start happening there!
How bizarre.

whoa...first I've heard of this but with tim burton attached, it should be awesome.
Made me remember the alice in wonderland tv mini-series I was addicted to as a kid...

SO STOKED!!!!
Alice in wonderland has always been one of my favorite books, and one of my favorite Disney films (haha). Tim Burton is my fav director too, so I couldn't ask for more. Add Johnny Depp and it's absolutely stellar. It's going to be so beautiful and weird and amazing - I can't wait!

Alice in Wonderland has always slightly frightened me. Now that Tim Burton is remaking it, I have to see it.
I can only imagine what it will be like. I love the way he makes movies, yet it is hard to explain what he does that makes them so Tim Burton-esque.
Sleepy Hollow (Tim Burton, right?) and Sweeney Todd were fantastic, and I am sure this will be too.

he also did 'The nightmare before christmas' which is like the best film ever! haha make sure you check it =]
