Sooo, I think Newsies (1992) is one of the best films. Ever. I just watched it again last night for the umpteenth time, and loved it, as usual. If by some horrible mistake in the universe you have not seen this movie yet, do so immediately. And here's why:
18 year old Christian Bale,
singing,
dancing,
dressed as a late 1800's newspaper boy.

"Open the gates and sieze the daaaayy,
Don't be afraid and don't delaaayyyy!
Nothing can break us, no one can make us
give our rights awaaaaaaaaayyyyyyy, (pause)
Arise and sieze the daaayy!!!"

"we live a fine life carrying the better through it all".
Newsies is rad! I didn't know it until my girlfriend got it for me. I love musicals and newsies is by far one of the best. That one character kid that has tan skin and seems to flex his muscles reminds me of Slater from Saved By The Bell. Random thought sorry.

It's not the size of a nose that counts. It's whats in it that matters!

I wish I could have been on this set. I can just imagine,
"Okay boys, today it's New York accents. Brooklyn boys, you're in the next room. Christian, you'll be working with your own vocal coach, since you're battling that pesky british accent..."

This thread has already put an egg in its shoe and beat it, but I can't pass up an opportunity to profess my love for Newsies. Awesome movie. Baby Bale + cheesy song and dance numbers = win.
