Title: It's sad
Category: bummed out
Blog Entry: I don't know what the scene is like where any of you live, but where I live it seems like all of a sudden all of these kids who once claimed edge or just were against smoking, drinking, and drugs are just caving in. I mean, don't get me wrong, if you like to have some drinks or whatever do your thing I don't mind. But two things about the people in the area I live in have really been getting to me lately. A lot of people who I know that are sXe are approaching 21 are starting to break, which I think is STUPID because if you're going to claim it stick with it, just because you're legally old enough to drink now it doesn't mean you HAVE to. That doesn't bother me half as much as what's happening to the other people I know. A lot of people feel like they need to do drugs or drink just to fit in with people and it just bugs me. They should realize if someone doesn't like you because of your morals and choices it isn't worth going against your beliefs to try and earn their friendship. Recently what I've been hearing is many girls that I know have been just getting beyond drunk and high just to try to get with some guy they like. Which for one I think is horrible because that guy isn't going to see this girl as someone he wants to get into a serious relationship with. For him it's just going to be this one night stand or short fling with this drunk girl. It's sad when it happens to someone I was really good friends with a year ago. She broke up with her boyfriend and all of a sudden took up drinking and smoking, which I didn't mind at first. But then it just progressed into her being drunk everyday and then even getting into drugs. She was growing away from all her close friends to waitress at a strip club, go party with all the guys, do lines, and sleep with a different guy every night. But she got a wake up call because now she's pregnant. Since then she's cleaned up completely and started talking to her old friends (me) again. I'm just sick of seeing people losing their morals and falling into bad habits.
